Welcome to my blog!
I am a Toronto-based content marketer and strategy consultant who writes about life in Canada and Korean culture.
I have spent a decade as a senior professional in business advisory services, helping large corporations across the world increase their profitability and develop new revenue streams. Some of the industries I’ve worked in are EdTech, Pharma & Healthcare, ITES, Financial Services, Telecom, and Retail.
Today, I weave magic with content! I’m passionate about telling research-based compelling stories and delivering engaging content that converts prospects to buyers and eventually, brand evangelists. My claim to fame was one blog post that went viral on some large Facebook and WhatsApp groups. The most notable outcome was that it presented me with the opportunity to convert my hobby into a full-time career by taking on the role of a content lead at RBC Ventures. Currently, I’m employed with Ascend Fundraising Solutions as a Senior Content Manager and also moonlight on a side-project for a soon-to-be-launched dating app called Kupenda.
I am a rare success story of switching career paths while settling in a new country. Switching geographies, industries, and roles have made me what business school grads call a “tripple jumper”. My past experience in strategy consulting combined with the content skills and expertise from recent years uniquely positions me to support and deliver on key business objectives while planning, executing and driving content initiatives.
Outside of work, you’ll find me cooking traditional family recipes, shopping for stocks, watching K-dramas and re-runs of classic sitcoms like Everybody Loves Raymond and F.R.I.E.N.D.S., listening to K-pop, or exploring Toronto neighbourhoods. I am a huge fan of Taylor Swift and k-pop boybands — BTS and EXO. Occasionally, when the stars align themselves, I love travelling to foreign lands and exploring new places.
I am fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, and have a basic understanding of Korean.
